So earlier on in the week plans were pervisionally made to meet up with my mate and go for lunch no children no men allowed. This morning those plans were finalised whoop whoop. My man agreed to look after madam Jess and wait in for our boy Tom ton get home from school.
THE PLAN
Start getting ready around 11am
Ready by 12 noon
Friend turns up
Chris makes us all a cuppa of which was greatly received by all
Change nappy make bottle and settle madam into her special chill out chair
Cuppa drank and out the door we go.
Now whats was so funny as everything was planned until we got into the car driven to the bottom of my road before my mate turns to me and says "so where shall we go for lunch" my response was "pass! You decide" Anyway we eventually opted for our local Calvary.
DECISIONS DECISIONS!
Now if not deciding where to eat was bad try this one WHAT TO EAT WHAT TO EAT...We both knew what we didn't want and we both agreed that turkey & gammon pie neither sounded nice but didn't sound right either. Needless to say we both opted for a Calvary the safe choice I mean you really can't go wrong with that choice can you. Guess what? we were right the Calvary was scrummy and filled our tummy's just right.
ADULT COVERSATIONS!
Can I just say as much as I love having a mommy brain as much as I love learning baby language it made a refreshing change to be part of the adult world but to be able to communicate as an adult really is quite something. The range of subjects covered was awsome to be able to be honest and share your thought and opinions without the risk of offending upsetting someone was even better but to do all this with someone who actually gets you was the best part of all.
TIME!
Lunch was meant to be for an hour it turned out to be 3 hrs lol.
RECOMENDATIONS!
To all you mommys and daddys as hard as it can be as stressfull as it can be despite circumstances ME TIME YOU TIME with or without GOOD FRIENDS is essential.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST!
I'm chuffed that the winter netball season has started i'm chuffed that our club training has started again it means that at least once a week I get I get to have a few hours away from the stresses of motherhood it gives me and my man some space but also more importantly something else to talk about other than the usual casual stuff. For me too it gives me a chance to stay fit by doing it along side friends.
END ON A GOOD NOTE!
Theres nothing like end your day on a good note a relaxed comfortable smile goes along way. Tomorrow doesn't feel half as bad bring on tomorrow and the first of many winter matches laughts tears and conversations.
HAPPY DAYS!
