PROUD AS PUNCH

So....

Last week I went to Jessica assessment overview and the results were beyond amazing. It would appear we have a very clever bright little madam with bags of potential....

Teachers findings were....in short

A bright clever independent little girl who knows her own mind...Is able to demonstrate even the most complicated of tasks. Jessica is precise and particular as well as is finding many ways to communicate despite her delayed use of verbal language. Jessica was able to go off and play with other children with little if any prompting from her mother although did keep a watching eye to ensure her mother was still around. Jessica had no problem engaging with the other children or adults although very much on her own terms. In my opinion Jessica has a brain age of 2 1/2 to 3 yrs old + .

Occupational Therapist findings were....All of the above and at this stage feels Jessica doesn't need any further sessions however should this change she will be more than happy to open her doors.

Speech & Language....Her receptive language is outstanding and advanced for her age but there is some level of expressive language delay...Due to hospitalisation Jessica recently had a further few more assessments will need to be had before a true overview can be made.

As for everyone Else's findings well basically all of the above.

Hows that for the best report a mother a father could ever have of there child...Whats all the most amazing is when you take into account the 7 weeks premature that Jessica was and the many months that Jessica has spent in hospital some of which almost claimed her life I thinks its fair to say WOW!!! that bloody brilliant and you know we will beam with joy when some one asks us

 "HOWS YOUR LITTLE GIRL GETTING ON?".

Jessica if you ever get to read this then know this mommy and daddy are so very proud of all you have achieved in your short life so far, all that you have overcome and we so look forward to all that you will fight to achieve and overcome in the future....We will always be there by your side fighting along side you. You and your brother are the 2 that give us the strength and the courage to never give up no matter how hopeless the situation looks for that I/WE thank you!

Its hard to reall put into words the emotions we are feeling right now the frustrations we are dealing with the up moments the down moments all we know is waiting SUCKS!!!!
