Tonight we start the final tests thankfully at home to see if Tom can finally say thank you and goodbye to a piece of life saving medical equipment. Armed with a scaled down version sleep study equipment provided by Lung function we will do 2 nights with CPAP then 2 nights without CPAP.
Tom is over the moon and cannot wait to get started! I only the other hand am a tad stressed a little panicked yet supportive and hopeful. Let there be an end so that my boy has one less obstacle to tackle as he begins his next chapter of his life.
You ask why I'm feeling stressed and panicked! The simplest answer with little explanation is. Life support = sleep for all. CPAP was a much needed game changer without it Tom wouldn't have thrived to the degree that he has. CPAP is has been part of our lives part of our daily routine for 14.5 years it's also been our biggest supporter.
I so want for tom to be given the results he's hoping for as that is so much better than the other. I guess we will just have to get on with it prepare for worst case hope for best case.
